"Great leaders move us. They ignite our passion and inspire the best in us. Great leadership works through the emotions"(Daniel Goleman, EI: Why it can Matter more than IQ).

"Success in business today is 15% technology and 85% Emotional Intelligence" (Tom Peters, In Search of Excellence)

"A leader's intelligence has to have a strong emotional component. He has to have high levels of self-awareness, maturity and self-control. She must be able to withstand the heat, handle setbacks and, when those lucky moments arise, enjoy success with equal parts of joy and humility. No doubt emotional intelligence is more rare than book smarts, but my experience says it is actually more important in the making of a leader. You just can't ignore it."(Jack Welch)

What is the BarOn EQ-i®?

The BarOn EQ-i® is a self-report inventory about one's social and emotional functioning. It was developed by a psychologist named Dr. Reuven Bar-On - who has been conducting emotional intelligence research for over 20 years. Dr. Bar-On's definition of Emotional Intelligence is " an array of non-cognitive (emotional and social) capabilities, competencies and skills that influence one's ability to succeed in coping with environmental demands and pressures."

The BarOn EQ-i® questionnaire is comprised of 133 questions, with five general areas (realms) and 15 subsections (scales). It takes approximately 15-30 minutes to complete and can be administered via-paper-and pencil format or on-line.

Upon completion of the on-line assessment - you will receive a personal report of the feedback results and a one-on-one debrief of the results with a qualified professional. See Sample EQ-i® Report

What is the EQ-360™?

The EQ-360™ is a multi-rater version of the EQ-i® and is used in conjunction with the EQ-i® self-report and is based on the same five general areas (realms) and 15 subsections (scales) described above. The EQ-360™ provides a comparison of an individuals self-report with that of important rater groups who interact with the individual regularly. The six (6) rater group options include manager(s), peers, direct reports, clients, family/friends, and mixed/other.

The BarOn EQ-i™ questionnaire is comprised of 88 questions, in the same five general areas (realms) and 15 subsections (scales) as the EQ-i®. It takes approximately 15-30 minutes to complete and can be administered via-paper-and pencil format or on-line.The EQ Edge (Stein & Book, 2006)
